Windows XP Professional
This is my first post so let me know if I am not doing it properly.
I am running Windows XP Professional and it locks up upon start up.
I have tried the recomended start modes but nothing solves the problem.
It is my understanding that the Professional version is supoosed to make it easy to recover from this type of thing.

welcome to the forums, gww

you'd probably get a better/quicker response from windows users in a "windows forum". these forums cover questions regarding linux.
hope you get the problem figured out...

To be truthful, no version of windows is good for recovery. As ozar said you would probably get a much better repsonse in a windows forum. However, I believe many of us dual boot so we may be able to help you out. Can you give us anymore information of the problem? When does it occur, what did it occur after, are you given any error messages, have you tried a system recovery using your windows disk?
