    DMG is an Apple disk image format. I don't know if you can extract it in Linux, but I'm also not sure you'd want to. What kind of file is it?

    To the best of my knowledge, there is no legal distribution of Mac OS X that comes as a .DMG file, so I'm going to assume this was downloaded and lock this thread. However, even if you obtained it legally somehow you wouldn't be able to install Mac OS X on a commodity PC.
