Mandrake 10.0 (download) and nVidia?
Hello again,
I have just installed Mandrake 10.0 Community via FTP installation and when I logged in as root, downloaded nvidia drivers to install, went to runlevel 3, and ran the install. I got an error saying that it cannot find a precompiled kernel module for my kernel (2.6.3). According to nVidia website, the newest driver has support for 2.6 kernels. Why can I not get it to install on this kernel? And are there any ways to get it installed?
Thanks in advance. If you love something, emerge it

You need to download the kernel sources. Can you find them using the software manager? I just did a search for kernel.

kernel sources
hi, i am on a similar situation. I have installed mandrake 10 kernel 2.4.25-2. In order to compile the nvidia driver i need to have the kernel sources installed. The kernel sources from the 2.6.x are in the CD 3 of the distro. But i couldn't find anywhere the sources of the 2.4.25 that i need. Somone know where can i find kernel sources on the internet or if they could be in the CD 4 or CD 5 (that i don't have)?
thank you
