    ghost file?



    there's a file that in my root directory which i can't seem to redicrect to mysql input; it tells me the file does not exist, and when i try to change permisions on the file it gives me the same error. if i pico it after i try to change permisions the file turns up as blank, but if i restart putty(my ssh client) it looks alright. i'm pretty new to all this so this is quite baffling for me.
