A "Swap Raid" Question
First of all, i'd like to introduce myself. My name is jeremy and I'm a return linux user (played around with linux a few years ago, but never made the commitment...now fully commited ) . I'm running Linux 2.6 Debian Sarge Master/Slave IDE's. I'm not too knowledgeable about hardware, when I say IDE I mean there's no scsi or raid controllers installed.
Both hard drives are fully expendable, so I was wondering if I could use 2 different swap area's, one on each drive, so that it would create a RAID like (striping) swap area. Actually, already know I can, but I was wondering if there was any special configuration that needs or can be done to maximize it's efficiency. Or will simply turning 2 swap spaces on be sufficient?
Also, I was wondering if there were any disavantages to it?
