Package management
Just thinking of all the distros I've tried and all the package managers that've come with them there's only one that I've yet to break. And that's urpmi with Mandrake 10. Everything I've asked it to install it's done without so much as a murmur. All the other distros/managers have had me tinkering around with vi by now

Anyone experienced the perfect package manager yet?

portage.

Though you *can* break portage/gentoo (believe me...I try every day (whether I want to or not
)), it is an exceptional package manager.

wow, that's impressive. I must have to try MDK10 out, cause I never, ever had any luck with that package manager, ever. I use portage now, and it breaks, but its very good. I also would like to give pacman/Arch a try again, but for another day...[/code]there's only one that I've yet to break. And that's urpmi with Mandrake 10

It is impressive. I'm well chuffed with it's performance so far, even using unofficial package sources.
