Hello
I am a complete newbie and was wonder which disrto I should try. What I am looking for is a very easy to use distro and easy to add any software that I may need ( ei mp3 , avi files). I am not looking to duel boot as I have to hard drives and I will boot from one or the other in the BIOS. What I am mainly longing for is the distro that uses the least amount of system resources because I may try installing it later on a PS3. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

only a few distros like Mepis and Slax support .mp3 and .avi files out of box and its easy to install neccessary codecs in other distros.
we can't tell which distro is best for you. try as many as you can and find out yourself. check this thread.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
