I have a promise pdc 20378 fake bios raid controller setup with two SATA drives in raid0.

which gives better performance:

Using this device with the bios raid0, with device mapper dmraid

OR

Using the drives as separate drives on the controller, then setting them up as Linux software mdraid in raid0?
