I am setting up a basic file server and have 2x 500gb HDDs for the data (the install is seperate on another drive).

I want the 2 data drives to be seen as one but am having trouble deciding between a concatenated array and a logical volume via LVM.

Which one, if either, would allow 1 drive to be removed and mounted seperately, and allow me access to all the files stored on it?
