I'm having trouble getting my windows boxes to print to my printer (hp940c) on my linux box. I'm running cups because lpd doesn't work with my printer. On the windows boxes i get "access denied, unable to connect" i've search google and all the issues relating to my problem haven't fixed it. Help if you can.

That sounds like a problem with samba. Have you checked your samba logs? (in /var/log/samba/)
Sometimes the samba logs are a little terse though. That can be corrected by running 'smbcontrol smbd debuglevel <number from 1-10>'. It's a little unneccessary to set debuglevel 10, but 5 or so should provide enough log entries to solvethe problem. To turn it off again, set the debuglevel to zero.
