UPS and CentOS 4.5
I just bought an UPS for my fileserver after having a streak of brown outs and 2 freaking blackouts during the end of may and into the month of june. I was wondering if CentOS comes with standard power management software that would allow me to configure the machine for the UPS itself and automated shutdown in case of prolong blackout?
if so... what are the packages or commands?

Check out apcupsd. I run it on one of my FreeBSD boxes, and it has gracefully gotten us through a couple power outages.
On my CentOS box:
That is a 3rd party repository.Code:[shh@troy ~]$ sudo yum list apcupsd* Setting up repositories ... Available Packages apcupsd.i386 3.10.18-1.2.el4.rf rpmforge
