    Web Browsers Instability

    Hi all

I am having problems with my web-browsers, they are crashing all the time, i am testing both Firefox, and Opera. Both seem to crash on a regular basis, Opera more often than Firefox (shame, as i think i like it better than ff). the crashing happens at random intervals, but usually i can't browse more than 2-5mins on opera, and about 10-20mins on Firefox, now they both have resume abilities but its very annoying as you can imagine.

My question is what would be causing these instabilities? i have both the latest versions, and my Linux setup seems to be running fine elsewhere, my spec is in signature, i hope somebody has experienced this before and can help it's sstarting to drive me up the wall :P

    Thanks in advance.

execute 'firefox' in Terminal/Konsole and check why its crashing.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

*EDIT* i get errors just as i open Opera even if it does not crash

I have a bunch of issues (mainly segmentation faults) back when my harddrive decided to crash. My guess is that either your harddrive is about to go out or it somehow got corrupted.

    Thanks for reply bidi,

The hard-drive failing does make sense, as it's quite and old one, and ihave problems with installing several linux distro's i might try a new hard-drive on one of my other system's, if it holds i will go andbuy a new one, will let you all know

    cheers
