Blank screen on a Linux preloaded laptop
My friend bought an acer aspire 1 notebook which came preloaded with what is described as "Softload linux".
She bought a broadband stick and as the stick was not Linux compatible she decided to change over to Windows xp. As there is no cd drive on the notebook she loaded the windows os on to a memory stick and tried to install it from the stick.
An error occurred when she was in the early stages of instillation, there was no chance that xp had been fully installed so she cancelled the process.
Now when the notebook loads up, the start up screen comes up gives you the option to go into the BIOS but then the screen goes blank with only the cursor visible on the screen.
How do I fix it and get the linux laptop working the way it was before she messed about with windows.
Help would be appreciated.
