Building mini itx
hello ..I am building a new pc with a mini ITX motherboard Gigabyte GA-H77N I would really like to run the machine on Linux if possible ...how can I find out if it is linux compatible ..the Gigabyte website says this .
.Due to different Linux support condition provided by chipset vendors, please download Linux driver from chipset vendors' website or 3rd party website.
Is there a database which lists compatible motherboards for linux ?
The chipset on this motherboard is Intel® H77 Express Chipset
I would be most grateful for any information ..thank you .
This board should not be an issue for current or recent Linux distributions. Intel chipsets are well-supported by Linux. This warning from Gigabyte is a CYAP (Cover your Assets in Paper) disclaimer - something their lawyers told them to do to avoid liability.
