change format of date in system (syslog) logfiles

Hello there,

I installed openldap on my ununtu machine. Openldap log files are logged via syslogd, Now I'd like to change the format of the date in the logfile to YYYY-MM-dd hh:mi:ss.
I've searched a lot, asked a lot but couldn't find how to do it. (I even changed the date formats in thelocale file, without any success).
Does anybody know how to accomplish this.

Sorry, no joy in Mudville here. I couldn't find any way either. If I do, I'll let you know. You could always get the source code, and find where it is formatting the time for syslog calls, and then determine where it gets the format. If it's compiled in, then you can change the format and recompile the code. That's kind of the worst-case scenario, but it would work.
