It depends if you use pt or px (pixels)
Pixels should be *very* close in size, maybe a pixel or 2 off at most.
That was the first thing I noticed. Not sure how to get all fonts up a size.
KDE or Gnome?
i use gnome
Gnome uses a screen resolution of 96 dpi by default, so fonts looks smaller. There is an entry in Gnome controls for customizing a look of fonts.
