good distro 4 lamp etc?
i'm in serious doubts which distro i should use this time..
First off it should be able to work with rpm (yeah i'm lazy :p)
i searched some site but they don't all specify a packages list :(
now i was wondering, do all mayor distro's have things like
apache, mysql, php, a good ftp-server, mail (i guess sendmail
always, but i'm considering postfix) and samba?
btw i like "easy" distro's.. so i guess gentoo
is not suited for me atm. I hope i don't start an endless
distro-discussion with this :D
is suse any good? i saw their yast tool has some servercfg in it too?
so which should do the trick? ;)
Sounds like a regular Fedora to me.
Personal note: Suse if ok for starters.
But my judgement is colored. I only use slack and RH/Fedora.
Start with Suse, work with it for a couple of months, and if you don't like it switch to Fedora Core 1 or 2...
