How can you tell whether your comp is scsi or ide???

Hi everyone.

I am trying to install deli linux. It is asking me whether my comp is an scsi device or an ide device. I was a little hasty and have created 3 partitions after destroying the old partition with windows. Sorry if this topic was covered somewhere else but I have little time.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Boot up from any LiveCD and execute fdisk -l command in Terminal/Konsole.
/dev/hdx device name represent IDE Disk and /dev/sdx represent SCSI.

Latest kernels ( 2.6.22.x ) onwards assign /dev/sda ( SCSI ) name to all types of disks. Have you tried selecting SCSI device?
