I really need some help (NewBee)

I'm did install Lindows 4.0.315 today and I really need some help with how to install appz.
How do I do? I never had Linux dist before so plz, step by step.
I really need irssi to work and some other appz before I get totally :evil:

Your version of Lindows (now called Linspire) is *very* old. You will have trouble doing anything at all on it until you get a newer version. The newest is 5.0.

Like techieMoe said, it's a bit old.

You might want to try to get a newer version, or even consider some other distro. In that case, take a look here... I'd recommend looking at the top-10 for something you like :wink:
