Just a simple (I think) question.
I'm trying out several distros via Live USB and VM. If, during a live session, things seem to work out of the box, is it then likely that my hardware is compatible with that distro and a full install is also likely to work ok?
Yes, absolutely. That is the idea behind the Live version of the distro: to provide a test drive for the potential user. If you are using VMs anyway, you could always do a true (non-Live) install in a VM and make sure all is well, before installing to bare metal. But maybe that was your intention in the first place.
Thank you for your response. :) Good to hear. I install VMs as well as tyring live USB sessions. VMs mainly so I'll have an idea of the install process.
