Ok. I updated everything on my redhat 8. I had to install my nforce 2 network drivers before I could do this. Next I unistalled the network drivers and then reinstalled. The module loading screen always says nvnet device not present eth0 initialization delayed. Any ideas on how to fix this?
check your /etc/modules.conf file to make sure you dont have any other thing in there for your eth0 entry... also did you have an rpm driver, or what kind...?
Hmm i just checked that file and found that it says the nvidia driver stuff twice. Once with # before the alias and once without them. Which one should I delete?
Lines beginning with # are comments, and thus they don't matter.
Try loading the module manually after boot and see if it works at all.
I didn't know that nVidia makes ethernet adapters.
It's the onboard lan from my nforce 2 motherboard.
