Running program's from USB stick
This may be an odd question, but as you will see, I'm an odd fellow... ;)
I'm very mobile, and not very organized. I carry .odf files on my USB stick that I need to open on different locations, on other peoples computers. But you've guessed it, no means to do so. Now I can default OOo to save my files as .doc, .xlc (or whatever), but I like a more difficult solution.
Here's what I did. I downloaded OOo.exe (the self extracting archive), put it on my USB stick and tried to install it there. Now as I don't have anything Windows related in the house, I need to go to someone to do this. I did. And it failed. It seemed Windows didn't want to install to a USB stick.
Hence my question. Is there a way to carry a functioning OOo on a USB stick that I can use on Windows computers to open my files?
