Setting up a Linux box as a firewall?
This may have been covered before. If it has, my apologies, as I've overlooked it somehow.
I've got an old "white-box" computer (1.6ghz P4, 512mb ddr, 40gb, etc) that I would like to set up as a firewall. All incoming, and outgoing traffic will go through it.
Lots of the new releases have become bloated with things I'm just not going to need. To use this box as a firewall, what do I really need to install? Which distro would be easy for a networking newb to set up?
Any, and all help is appreciated.
