Sun Grid Engine on linux
I am planning to implement Sun Grid Engine (sge) on 200 linux servers for distributed processing.
Can anyone let me know the references to documentation and implementation of sge ?
Also is there any customisable front end available for the end users to submit jobs to sge ?
Thanks in advance.
I don't know. Is SGE based on MPI? Also, for massive grid computing tools, check out Scientific Linux at anl.gov, or Fermi Linux at fnal.gov. These are linux implementations used by very large scale physics labs, based on RHEL. They are stable, have tons of tools for large-scale grid-type computing tasks, and run on any number of hardware platforms (x86, SGI, Sparc, Alpha, MIPS, etc).
