U-Boot with i.MX35

Hello,

I'm a student in electrical engineering and new to U-Boot and Linux.
I read a lot about it in the last days but I didn't find an answer to this question.

We plan to use U-Boot with the new i.MX35 from freescale.
For us it is important to have small footprint. It should be smaller than 50kB.

I wasn't able to find information to that on the U-Boot website.

Does anyone have experience with the i.MX31? Or even the i.MX35?
I think the MX31 is pretty similar to the MX35.
How big is the footprint of U-Boot in the flash memory?
