Update KDE and change WM
Is there any way i can update KDE from v3.2 to v3.3 without having to download massive files off ftp, can i just update it through the SUSE 9.1 updater?
also, are there any other WM that i can use instead of Konqueror, because i dont like it? but i still want to use KDE because it is great.
You say WM which stands for Window Manager then refer to Konqueror. Do you mean file manager instead. If that is what you mean then there are a multitude of file managers out there.
yes i do mean file manager sorry, can you recommend a good one for kde?
I haven't used it, but Krusader seems to be popular.
how would i go about changing (so that its default) my file manager once its installed? or changing back if i dont like it
I would recomend jfilrunner it works fantasticly
I do not know how to go about making it the default file manager
I don't use KDE regularly myself, so I wouldn't know if KDE has it's own system for default applications. But you could try looking for an environmental variable in /etc/profile, ~/.bashrc, or ~/.bash_profile.
