    Linux distro for smartphone


    i have a cingular 8125 (HTC wizard) smartphone and i want to run linux on it. it would be nice to be able to still use its 3 current primary functions... phonebook, phone, and text messaging

    any suggestions?

    i have no idea weather it would work but thats a great idea, i have a windows *shudders* smartphone and puting a linux distro on it would be very very cool!

    how would you fit the live cd in though?

    i was thinking an install ran off of the computer while the device was connected? that would be easiest in my mind, but i have little/no experience in programming, so idk how it would work... also we must keep in mind the linux programmers disdain for proprietary hardware (as found in all smartphones)
