Unhappy Palm Pre data Please Help!!!!

I hope one of you linux gurus can help me! Somehow, I lost all my text messages and contacts from my palm pre. Since the phone was flashed to cricket, the back up does not work. However, when I connected my phone to my laptop and went into the usb drive part of the phone, I see everything is still there. Most of it is in formats that I cannot read on my windows machine, but it is there. So, my question is, is there a command I can type in to the command line prompt (terminal) that will restore this data?

Not having a Pre I can't say exactly; however, most of these phones have a "restore previous settings" capability, though you may have to do some magical incantations while booting to access it. At least that's how my Android phone works when I manually install a new OS. My suggestion is to contact Palm support about this.
