I have an 800x480 16x9 tablet running an Android ICS version presumably for a 15x9 screen (800x480 is 15x9), so all verticals squeezed (horizontals stretched) circles look egg shaped with the tablet vertical. I've seen a few other tablets with the same screen size, resolution and ratio with the same problem.

Can Android display correctly on an 800x480 16x9 display? Can a settings/display/screen adaption be made to correct for a 15x9 Android version?
