    Networking with a hub

    Hi-

I am working on a project where I have three laptops. I want to connect all three to a wired hub. Is it possible to have all traffic go through the middle computer? In other words, if I want to send a packet from one end node to another, is it possible that to set it up to go through the middle computer first?

I was thinking it might be possible setting both end nodes default gateway to be the middle computer, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Thanks

If you are connecting to a normal hub and not
a switch, all traffic is broadcast anyway, and can be
picked up by any machine connected to that hub.

So if I use a switch and set up the network with the middle computer as the default gateway for both end nodes, this should theoretically work?
