    Port specific monitoring.


    I'm trying to find an application that monitors bandwidth usage for a specific port. I'd like something real-time, but all I can really manage to find are guides (like this one Linux.com :: Everything Linux and Open Source about doing it with iptables. The problem is none of these guides seem to work for me, and neither do my own ideas to track specific ports.

    I'm mostly concerned with ftp.

    I believe you can use bandmin for this. I don't know how to set it up, by my hosting company, LiquidWeb, uses it in order to make sure I'm not going over my paid bandwidth allotment.
