How to send messages between computers?
By the way, does anyone know how to send messages between computers?
I saw a guy doing it, he can type something and a window will come out on my computer with the text he wrote on his computer.
How does he do that?
Can someone please tell me, if you know?
Thank you

yes the write command is locked.
I read the man write page and the only thing that mentions about permissions is the mesg(1) [ what's (1)? ]. But this command is only from preventing others sending messages to my machine.
Also can somebody, please tell me what is ttyname?
Thank youuu all!!!
