I have a PCLinuxOS machine and a 2Mbps Internet connection which is not utilised fully by the OS. When I download stuff from firefox in linux env, I get max 11KBps.. whereas when I try downloading the same stuff in WinXP I get upto 200KBps...

What should I do to remove any bandwidth limitations present???

Are you using Firefox in both XP and Linux? Are you downloading from exactly the same mirror and/or FTP server? Are all your downloads uniformly bad in Linux/Firefox or just certain ones?
