What chat Protocol am I looking for?
Hey, my Boss wants to run a Chat-Server so everybody can join in with the meetings.
He wants Voice (and if posible Vid) Group Chat.
We are going to run the server on a FedoraCore 6 server box.
I have been looking into some stuff, bad luck till now though.
Well Does anyone know one? I know Skype can do Multi Voice Chat.. But you cant run a server of that. And TeamSpeak isnt going to be fine. Since the Client isnt how we want it.
The client (for Voice not for the Vid) has to be running in Java.. I know its posible since Ive seen it before. I Just cant recall the names anymore.. Well does anybody know what I mean? (Oh and if the Traffic is encrypted that would be even better, but I aint sure if the one that I saw had that.)

You can use the SIP/x264 based Ekiga. It's also compatible with NetMeeting on Windows. It's pretty cool. Webcam and voice support along with instant messenging.
It's not written in Java to my knowledge but it is cross platform and you can run your own sip server.

Yea, I ment to say that it has to run JavaApplet

Since well, the users shouldnt not need to Download something... After abit Googling I found a thing that is almost what I ment: Java Voice Chat Software ,GlassRoom(R) Chat Server and Live Help
Its a Voice+Vid+JavaApplet Client + Server.
but this one costs WAY to much money.. Since its just for a demo, If it works he might pay for something. But before he Wont.. If he has to pay he will tell me: "Well Robin, have fun Coding.."
Heh, thanks anywho.
Any other ideas?
