Please excuse my curiosity, but why would you need to know the mailserver locations for domains?

i don't need to know the locations. I just want to know the mail servers like : mail.domainname.com , the smtp and pop3/imap so i can configure my email client.
Yes i know i can just call the network administrator and ask him, but as i said it's just a curiosity.
