Sound over a network?
I am in the process of helping a co-worker setup a client/sever system in which the clients load X (via PXE) and then connect to the server and run all the apps off the server. However, we were wondering, is there anyway to allow the common sound apps (xmms, xine, etc.) to output the sound through the network and through the sound card on the client machines? Basicly, in this setup the server will be doing all the work, and the clients will simply be displaying the output of the programs, kindof a graphical dumb terminal (with sound support).
Any ideas?
