but the problem how can i make windows users login to linux server?
to make that is it requires two servers (linux beside windows?)

btw.. what kind of MS Winblows do you use for Clients ?

Samba + OpenLDAP is what you want. OpenLDAP works like windex directory services, allowing you to have the same /home/user folder whereever you log in...as well as having the same permissions, etc. from any node on the network.

- 07-19-2004 #5If you have an X server on the windex boxen, I think that can be accomplished. But it's mainly to have a central server that all users authenticate with to make managing the network easier.
