Routing 2 nic to controll internet traffic
Hi there
I've seen around some situations with that I want.
Can you please clarify the situation ?
The situation is the following
At the moment I've got a router that goes to my linux server and to all network computers and the router it's configured has a DMZ. The gateway that dhcp is distributing is router ip.
I have add another network nic and now I want to control the iinternet traffic for this nic and the other nic I want to use has local area network (communications in machine is madfe by ne nic and other give me internet traffic).
I'm using iptables and firestarter has a firewall (or probably not ).
Could I have the situtatuion that I described .
Is there a better tutorial than the one of this forum ?
best Regards.

Just trying to make some changes
Hi have made the following changes
The nic2 (local area) is pointing to the ip of other nic1(internet nic) and this nis is pointing to router .
Something like this
<ip address machine>
<subnet>
<gateway ip of nic1>
<ip address nic1>
<subnet>
<gateway ip of router>
The configuration to dhcp is something like this
option router <ip of nic1>
