I am running a gigabit network in my house. I was wondering if there is any way to have my MTU be a different value depending on whether or not it is network only traffic because my external nic on my router is only 100 base t and I don't think that jumbo frames are supported outside of the network anyway. Is it ok to just increase the MTU or will this cause problems?
