hi guys...
am pretty new 2 linux..am runnin XP n RHEL 5 in my pc..usin a broadband connection.it works well in xp but its not connectin in RHEL 5..i ve configured eth in network(dhcp).am having pppoe connection..i use usb for connecting..i ve ethernet too but it doesnt ping d modem but the former does ping successfully..but wen i ping google.com,it says 'bad no of packets to be transmitted' n fails..am using a utstarcom modem/router..wat should i do nw??? pl do help me out..

Which one did you say pings successfully? I would try using ethernet first. Connect your Red Hat system to your modem/router via the ethernet cable, boot up the machine and then run system-config-network to configure the connection.
