Connecting Linux <-> Windows over USB
Hi all,
I am trying to connect a Linux box running Xubuntu with a 2.6.20.15 kernel and Windows XP over a USB cable. I have a USB link cable with the ALi M5632 chipset which is recognised by Linux and I can bring up the interface usb0 with a static IP however I cannot see the Windows XP PC at the other end of the cable. Has anyone done this before, and if so can they help me with how?
Before anyone asks I cannot use ethernet due to customer constraints and there are issues with my network where static IP addresses are not really a good idea.
Thanks for your help,
Steve
