unable to connect adsl modem in linux

Hi guys i am new to linux i have successfully installed red hat linux in my pc but the problem is i can't get the internet connection through it which is being worked in windows xp. I am using Reliance adsl modem as the internet connection. Please help me out...............................................

hi all,
i am new to this thread.

even i am facing problem with ADSL2 modem. i am using slcakware linux 12.0 .
for me ADSL modem is not detecting. i have configured eth0 successfully.
i am not seeing "adsl" package, where do i get it for slackware linux. please help me.
