I've Googled and can't seem to get this modem and "Linux" in the same sentence.

It must be a pretty new deal, because I can't find anything at all about its Linux compatibility (or lack of). It's a pretty neat looking device, and appears to be something I'd find useful IF it does indeed work with Linux.

I'd be half tempted to get one just to see, but couldn't recommend anyone else doing that. Sorry I couldn't provide you with an answer...

I couldn't find a thing either. I have bought one, but as yet unpacked from its bubble pack. Couldn't find anything else locally. Not everyone is on pseudo broadband here. Had been through a softmodem set-up a few months ago on another box; really don't have the time or inclination to go through that again.

    thanks DD

    the official reply from Swann:

"Unfortunately, the modem is not compatible with Linux. This is a USB
modem so this is a soft modem"

Send them a reply saying Zoom makes a USB modem similar to theirs and it DOES work with Linux...
