    How does kernel decide Source port ?

    Hi,

    I am using a third party application, which sends out some packets.

    The source port for the first message is 1025, source port for subsequent messages is incremented by 1.

    Where in the kernel code, this port is decided ?

    i dont think the kernel decides which port to pick as source port but instead its the application that decides it.
