    generally all modem will work with linux(especially those who use serial interface).take a look here :

    Also check www.zoom.com they have any kind of modem, for any OS, one needs to use.

    Before going to DSL, I had good luck with Zoom external modems. Internal modems seem to suck for the most part when it comes to Linux.
