Are other machines on your network able to browse to google? From bash what does $host www.google.com return? Do you have problems getting to any other sites?

I have also had the same problem... actually currently have that prob... I am running slackware 10 and loaded the driver... and no google.. but it's more than just google.. I can't access nvidia.com or some other sites either... sounds crazy.. but true... I have used this same setup running Mandrake 10.1 (but used the detected card settings) and the card works fine..

Got er working..
I used a SysKonnect driver instead. This not only fixed the prob for google, but seemed to speed up my connection to other sites...
