Hey guys,
Okay, so I'm running Ubuntu and when I try to run tcpdump, wireshark, and even a homemade pcap script, the internet connection gets shot. It says I'm still connected but won't send or recieve any packets. It does however show arps in the packet sniffer. I have to shut down (for example) tcpdump then re-establish the internet connection to be connected to the world again. Could this be a pcap problem or a linux problem?
