Site to Site Secure VPN
Hello
Just wondering if there are any good programs to do site-ti-site secure VPN in Linux. There's ISA server for Windows ... how about Linux?
I don't have any 'favorite' flavors of Linux so anything will work for me.
Thanks in advance.

I would like to set up an encrypted VPN between 2 locations. So just from the one network to the other pretty much.
L - R -------- R - L
L = linux machine
R = router

To get your feet wet I would suggest using SSH. It comes standard on most distros.
It is _not_ the best way to do it but since it's setup is so simple it will give you an idea what works for you.
It's been a while but I once had this working from work to home.

This is a more modern way to do it. Since SSH has grown over the years.

My choice would be OpenVPN (Welcome to OpenVPN).

Hello Miller:
I agree with secondmouse. I would suggest you try using openvpn. Just let us know what you decide. Also, drop us a line or two telling us about what Linux distro you are using.Thanks.
