How to get PCLinux OS 2007 connected to the Internet
To start with you go here
nForce Linux Driver Release Notes
print this out,
then go here
Linux nForce Drivers
then download to your linux drive.
Now to save a bit of time reading all the release
notes all you have to do is extract the package then log in as root and go to where the package is.
Then you find out if you are using iether 32 or 64 bit kernel with this command uname -m
If the answer is i686 it means a 32 bit kernel otherwise its a 64 bit.
This is important because it tells you what RPMs to choose
Now the driver directory that works for PCLinux OS 2007 is
RHEL5
Inside you will find the rpms that you need and the readme.txt to install; and the rest is straight ford.
Once you have the correct rpms intalled, log out -reboot then follow the instructions for Mandrake 10 to set it up;
in the Release Notes.
It works perfectly for me
This will at least get you on the net ;
By the way ; thanks to
jayd512 Linux Engineer for all your support,
and everyone else who posted in my
"Ethernet problems !!! "
PS. I still have no sound but I'm
working on that.

Well actually not. i386 is definitely not a 64bit, but can be seen on older systems.Then you find out if you are using iether 32 or 64 bit kernel with this command uname -m
If the answer is i686 it means a 32 bit kernel otherwise its a 64 bit.
