bypassing a firewall to play a game online
I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid and i'd like to play a game online but my pc is located at university and they've blocked almost every port.
So I was searching for a solution on the internet and found a lot about ssh tunneling but most things I found (I didn't quite understood or) needed an external "linux-box" or "shell" (I'm a linux newb) outside of the firewalled network.
So is it also possible to bypass the firewall without the external "thing" and use it to directly connect to a game server? And if it is possible, what would I have to do? (in simple steps)
Thanks a lot!
